No Apologies.
It is alarming to talk to people and to hear them try to reason that God is an accepting God concering their lives and lifestyles. The word Christian has become a catch phrase for anybody that says a prayer or talks about God, but we need to remember that the Religious leaders of Jesus' day did these very things. They tell me that I am too stiff when it comes to my presentation of the Word of God because I won't compromise on the scriptures and the truths that to me are very clear.

God sent his only Son Jesus to die on the cross for my sins, to restore me to a right relationship with the Father in heaven. The privilage of that right relationship compells me to live my life according to his standards and to seek His forgiveness when I come up short; it does not give me the right to live in disregard to his commands and then hide behind the title of "christian" (small "C" intentionally), and expect him to accept my lack of effort, and lower his expectations to make me comfortable.

I was not called to preach the message of God so that people would feel nice and comfortable all the time with their position as it relates to God; I was called to preach the message of God. Sometimes the message doesn't make me feel nice and comfortable, but that's okay, because those are the days that I can grow the most! And if the message causes you to examine your life a little closer...that's not a bad thing. I invite you to join us @ Elk Creek, to hear God's word, to be revived, challenged, and loved.
