![]() At first glance it appears that our Lord is in a desolate lonely place, abandoned by his friends, no one to talk to...but it is really a picture of the moments that we all need more of, moments alone with God. No distractions, no cell phone, no internet, just our hearts and God's ear. Alone time is critical to the Christian, and it is vital to the ministry at every level. Jesus often went off to pray alone, and it was following those moments that we see Him energized and refreashed for the challenge ahead. Should'nt we who are in no way his equal be even more intentional in finding not just a few quick moments but extended times to spend alone with God. Maybe your schedule is crazy, maybe your life is full of challenges and deadlines, everybody demanding your time and your effort...Jesus had that kind of schedule to the extreme, and He found time, quality time, quantiful time...let that be our desire, let that be our goal. Is there something you've been wanting to share with the Lord, something that has been wearing you down...He's listening right now, take a moment and chat with HIm, you won't regret it, and God will bless you through it.
