Elk Creek Baptist Church is the oldest Baptist church in Spencer County, Kentucky, and is the second oldest church in the Long Run Association. It was organized on April 27 in 1794, with a total membership of ten persons.
Throughout the last 220 years we as a body of believers have seen our share of triumphs and setbacks, but through it all our focus has been and will continue to be reaching as many as we can with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
But the work isn't done, and the history of our church is being written day by day. God has given us our marching orders and we need to be on task. Until He returns to take His church home we must continue to reach out with the love of our Savior to everyone, to hold to our faith and to one another.
